This is a feedback post that I posted on my own social media pages! Today marked the official closing of selling our house and then closing on buying our new home - just hours apart. The process of moving - well, for those of who have moved before, you know where I’m going. The complete totality of what we have packed and unpacked and packed and unpacked has become somewhat insane, but has it been worth it??? Absolutely! We have finally found our forever home - truly and genuinely! This is why today I am posting about our incredible, incredible realtor, Jacqui McCartin! Some may think that a realtor’s job is easy - to help you sell and buy a home, which is true, however, Jacqui has made this process such a thorough and even enjoyable (I say this because of the many things that can go awry) journey. This is the third time we’ve purchased a house (and hopefully our last) and it is beyond a doubt the smoothest it has gone and the most informed we have been through Every. Single. Step! It’s definitely not like HGTV where you see a few houses and all of a sudden in the end everything turns out like a 1990s romantic comedy - rollercoaster indeed, however, there was not a moment that Brad and I did not feel like we were not in the right hands. Realtors put a lot on the line - so many things can pop up and easily derail a home search or sale - what Brad and I love about working with Jacqui is not only her exceptional knowledge (seriously, if you’re looking for a real estate agent you can do NO better), but her wit, humor, and most importantly, her compassion. Seriously folks, as I always say, it’s the human connection and understanding that is at the core of all aspects of our lives - our jobs, our families, our friendships - it plays such a foundational role. Brad and I were not only lucky, but supremely blessed to have found someone that struck this impactful balance - and I’m saying this not because we beyond successfully sold our home and bought our new place - we’d say it regardless! Indeed, we have developed an incredible professional AND personal relationship with someone who has been given a unique insight into our lives, our family, our needs/wants, and has gained our utter trust in such a delicate process. Jacqui, we’re sitting here in our new living room amongst what seems like a million boxes that need to be unpacked (not to mention the completely overrun storage unit that needs to be unearthed tomorrow) and still can’t believe we are here - we could not be more thrilled! You have made what seemed like the impossible truly possible and have done so in the most transparent, caring, and understanding way. We have so much gratitude for all that you have done for us and you have delivered on every single request and concern since the first five minutes of meeting you. Our daughter LOVES her new room saying “Ms. Jacqui made me my room!” And our son (who is finally asleep) has easily made his way around and has definitely familiarized himself with every nook and cranny of the entire house. It’s these kinds of things and this kind of joy that has made this entire journey worth it. Thank you for your undying hard work, investigation into all aspects of the process, and most of all, your positive spirit. We didn’t know that real estate could be like this and are so thrilled to have met you. You are seriously the best!
